She told me hoop earrings were "her" thing...

Today is a special day! It's special because I am wearing hoop earrings. Something I haven't done since my early I-want-to-be-J.Lo-days. They look pretty. They are white gold and my parents gave them to me for Hanukah.

Kudos to you if you caught the reference...

I feel :))

No...I'm not "EXTREMELY OMG HAPPY"—I meant that I feel FAT (hence the double-chinned emoticon). It's time that I rekindle the flame with Billy Blanks, the papá of Tae-Bo.

Billy, let's reignite the passion!!!! DOUBLE TIME, GO!!!

This'll give you nightmares for weeks...

So a while ago, Aaron and I were sitting around snapping some pics. You see, we were trying to take those infamous "Shake Face" pics, but the first one turned out a little...well....freaky!!! I haven't used any of my Photoshop-magic on this picture...that's simply how it turned out! Ugh, it makes me sick.

Could Aaron be an alien? Nah......maybe?.....nah...................maybe?

Wisdom beyond her young years

This year there was so much politcal-overload that even my 4-yr. old sister knew who was running to be president. I guess it was due to the endless politcal debates that took place in our once quaint and quiet home in St. Charles, IL. People definitely had strong opinions (ahem ahem, Raul...ahem ahem, Aaron).

I remember one night in particular when little Alison ran around the house like a mad-woman yelling "Rack-Obama, Rack-Obama, Rack-Obama!" while my overly-amused younger brother cheered her on.

It became quite the family tradition to sit at the dinner table and ask the toddler who she would vote for. There we were, a whole bunch of adults leaning in, anxious to hear what crazy thing would come out of her mouth...almost every time hilarity was sure to follow.

But the greatest incident was on election night. Alison turned to me with an angry little frown and said the following, "Mána, I like John McCain but he needs to have black hair!"

I'm sure if John didn't have hair as white as snow, he would've gotten a few more votes. Maybe.

Bridezilla Unveiled!

The months leading up to my wedding were the craziest of my life. I was taking 18 credits (trying to graduate in time), planning a wedding and working like a maniac...not to mention getting ready to move. Anyways, everyone was telling me that I was going to explode if I kept going at a million mph...but I really had no choice.

I'm gonna go ahead and give myself a pat on the back for handling all that stress. Pat!

A few things happened surrounding the events of my wedding...things that would've driven any other bride over the edge...and they honestly didn't make me freak out. Things like:

1. On the way to my bridal photography session, my car broke down on the highway and I had to get out in the rain to see what was wrong...my poor hair.
2. The outfit I had purchased for the rehearsal dinner wasn't quite "temple appropriate" so right before leaving I had to pick something totally random, and not as cute of course.
3. On the way to the rehearsal dinner my 13-yr. old Camry completely broke down! We were 1/2 an hour late to our dinner (R.I.P. Cameron)
4. Right before the reception we realized that the iPod that had the song for our first dance, was nowhere to be found!

And so many more...but honestly, none of those things made me mad..(well maybe #4—a little).

But let me tell you what did cause my Mini-Bridal-Meltdown on that beautiful beautiful day...after the luncheon I changed back into my dress and got a ride to the reception site. When I arrived, I almost fainted because I had forgotten my PEARL EARRINGS, the same pearl earrings that Aaron had given me for Christmas, the ONLY pearl earrings that would everrrr match my dress!

Notice the sad "earingless" Brenda!?!? I'm trying to hide my anger because our photographer, Meredith, was so sweet and trying to tell me it was going to be ok...but those of you who know me well know that that's my about to blow up face! :)

About 20 minutes later someone arrived with the earrings and I calmed down and the near-water-works ceased. But it wasn't pretty in that Bride's Room. :)

A healthy dose of PDA!

So I've been on this "Look-at-my-wedding-pictures" kick today...maybe its cus we've past the 6 months mark (YEAH I KNOW! 6 MONTHS!!!) Anyways, I found this picture that I hadn't really seen before and I hadn't posted on facebook so I wanted to share it here.

Plus I don't want to post it on facebook because then I'll get annoying, "Ewww," "get a room!" type of comments...I figured since the only people that read this blog are of the female species, that you would appreciate how cute this picture is.

So many things to say...
